Since 1987, Anawim Housing has been building homes, hope and community. From its start as a vision of Sister Stella Neill, Anawim Housing has become a local leader in affordable housing - working tirelessly to end homelessness and ensure the most vulnerable in our community have a safe place to call home.
Today, Anawim Housing is the largest provider of Permanent Supportive Housing in the state of Iowa. Managing over 536 housing units, Anawim provides stable housing to 380 individuals who have experienced homelessness and live with a mental illness, substance use disorder, physical disability, diagnosis of HIV/AIDS, or are fleeing domestic violence, and 1,200 individuals as a whole we are currently serving.
